We have years of experience caring for families, from all walks of life. Each family comes to us because they know we are leaders in our profession, dedicated to excellence in service, and have the highest integrity.
Who We Are
Meet our staff. Members of the local community make everything that happens possible. Together, we make this place amazing.
Kathy was born right here in Dinuba and was raised in the Cutler-Orosi area. She attended Orosi High School and Reedley College where she majored in Forestry. After meeting her husband in college, Dan and Kathy worked together for the Forest Service in Oakhurst, CA. Dan worked with the timber sales crew and Kathy in road surveying and meadow analysis. Wanting to start a family, Kathy, her mother, Virgie Lowrey and two sisters Cindy and Karen opened The Flower Box in 1980 where they could raise their families and work at the same time. Kathy was given a Scholarship from FTD to attend a Floral Designer class at Cal Poly San Luis where she received her certificate. In 1998 Kathy was given the opportunity to serve her church as a part-time secretary where she was able to use her gifts in Art as well as bookkeeping. She designed many banners to decorate the sanctuary and painted murals in the church as well. Once her two daughters graduated, she went back to Reedley College completing her AA degree in General Studies. Kathy joined Dopkins staff in December 2013. She also enjoys ceramic pottery as one of her hobbies.
Neil St. Pierre was born and raised in Ventura county, graduating from Oak Park High School in 2006. Five years later, after attending Pierce and Cypress College, he received both an Associates of Arts in General Studies and an Associates of Science in Mortuary Science. During such time, Neil received scholarships from Epsilon Nu Delta and Service Corporation International. It is with the highest honor he serves the families of the community as both a licensed funeral director and licensed embalmer. He is a member of the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice devoting his time to higher education. Neil was happily accepted in the Dopkins family in December of 2011 and has been a devoted employee since.
Darrin Cantrell is our advance planning counselor at Dopkins Chapel. He is a valley native and has a passion for helping families with their final arrangements in advance so that family and friends don’t have to make difficult decisions after a death occurs. Darrin was a pastor for 12 years in Visalia before coming to Dopkins and continues to serve as a grief counselor. He lives in Visalia with his wife, Leslie and two children, Parker and Abigail.
