Viola Kroeker

Viola Hiebert was one of the Valentines Day twins born to John N. and Sarah Hiebert in 1922 in Aberdeen Idaho. The Hiebert children Lydia, Laura, Rosella, Viola and Elmer, were a musical family. Viola married Alvin E. Kroeker on June 7, 1942. He soon was drafted to serve in World War II. After the War, the Kroekers moved to Los Angeles to attend BIOLA. While there, Vi sang on the Old Fashioned Revival Hour and the BIOLA Hour radio broadcasts. her beautiful voice was Kroekers pastored the United Congregational Church in Los Angeles. Vi aptly served in her pastoral role with Al. They planted the Neighborhood Church in Visalia, and pastored the El Camino Bible Church in Santa Clara, and the Kingsburg Mennonite Brethren Church. She served alongside her husband in the Words of the Gospel Radio Broadcast throughout the late 1960s to 1977. The Kroekers were blessed with two children: Allan Kroeker of Clovis, and Janine Bergdahl of Madera. Vi especially enjoyed her grandchildren: Andrew and Alanna Kroeker, and Kayleigh and Pradnya Bergdahl. Viola woke up in heaven on December 16, 2020 at the age of 98.
