Carolyn Sue Fennell

“Well done my good and faithful servant” I know that is exactly what our mom heard when she walked through the pearly gates and met her Savior. On Saturday, October 31, 2020 Carolyn Sue Fennell received her very own mansion and her crown of jewels. Our mother was loved by so many. She always knew how to make everyone feel loved. Her desire was that everyone knew the love of the Lord. Carolyn Sue Fennell was born on October 23, 1939 to Levi and Willie Freeman in Braden, OK. She was the 6th of 11 children. She is preceded in death by Hazel Miller, LC Freeman, Maxine Moore, Nona Lakin, Henry Don Freeman and survived by Leroy Freeman, Carrie Kariya, Lena Bork, Robert Danny Freeman and Patsy May. On February 21, 1956 she married Gerald Fennell and they have spent 64 happily married years together. They had 3 daughters, Shielah Morgan, Sharon Carlson and Shaena Southard, 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 going on 3 great-great grandchildren. Over 60 years ago she started working in the fruit packing houses and only just retired a few years ago. During the off season she was a well-known professional seamstress. She has made and altered dresses for many wedding parties, robes for the high school choir or anything else that someone needed As long as I can remember our mother has been very active in her church. She served anywhere there was a need: Leading worship, preaching, teaching Sunday school, making pies for church auctions, even cleaning the bathrooms. When the church doors were open, we were there. Her heart was to build the Kingdom. Her homecoming celebration will be held at Dopkins Reedley Funeral Chapel on Tuesday November 3rd at 10:00am. Reception immediately following for family and friends at her and Gerald’s home in Reedley CA
