Daniel Dean Monroe

Reedley / San Jose Ca. - Daniel D. Monroe, 83, died on January 30th, 2023, at Kaiser Hospital. He was born March 21st, 1939, In the Calif Bay Area, the son of Aloe and Amanda Monroe.

Dean was extremely proud of graduating from Los Gatos, High School. Following graduation he served in the Reserves, worked at Lockheed, with his brothers roofing and finished his work career with United Airlines. He was extremely proud of being a member and officer of the loyal order of Moose. He was also very proud and enjoyed the time spent on showing and winning awards for his beloved 1956 Mark VII Jaguar. Dean also enjoyed to play at the Casino, playing 3 card poker and Texas Holdem. It was in fact one of the incentives to keep working hard at PT over the last few years.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by all but one of his siblings. He was survived by his long time love, Rosalie Brown, sister, Dorthey "Dee" Worthington, Brother and Sister-in law, Travis and Bev Johnson, His first born, son, Daniel Monroe and daughter- in law Cathleen Monroe, daughter, Lisa-dawn Brewton, son-in law Kip Brewton, son, Matt Brown and daughter-in law Becky Brown, son, Ted Brown, Grandchildren, Charmaine Wigham, Dean Pick, Josh Monroe, Pat Monroe, and Alexander, great grandchildren, Kaylee, Bob, and Zachary, and many nieces and nephews.

A service, Celebration of life will be held on Feb 24th in the Bay area, in the hopes this will allow more family, friends and his fellow LGHS alumni to attend. At this time the location is still being determined but will update on facebook, time and location in the next week.
