Lupe Rodriguez Valero of Dinbua, CA passed away on Saturday February 5, 2022.
Lupe Rodriguez Valero was born on April 12, 1954 in Nuevo León, México to Dionicio and Melquiadez Rodriguez. Lupe became a citizen of the United States as an infant.
Lupe attended Cutler elementary school as a child and graduated from Orosi Highschool with the class of 1973. After graduation, Lupe furthered her education by attending the College of the Sequoias. With having a passion for children and learning she accepted a position with Cutler-Orosi Joint Unified School District when she decided it was time to retire in 2010, having served the school district and made a lasting impact on her students lives for over 37 years!
While Lupe’s parents worked long hard hours to provide for the family, Lupe, being the oldest of eight took on a mother role to her siblings. She took it upon herself to make sure that her brothers and sisters were always on their best behavior. She made it a point growing up to assign chores, assign cooking responsibilities. Her siblings would tell you that she didn’t give them any slack with the exception of Leti (she always had a soft spot for her!)
Lupe’s number one pride was her family. Whether she was with her husband trying her luck at the local casinos, shopping and spending time with her husband, spouse, children, and grandchildren or decorating her home for holidays and special events. Aside from her family, Lupe loved spending time with her girlfriends Connie, Carmen, Merlyn, Kim, Maria, Gene, Janice, Betty, Everly, Marilyn, Carol R, Judy, Carol M, Juanita, Pauline and Paul all of whom she developed a lifelong friendship with. Once a month the “lunch Bunch” would get together, shop, have lunch and just enjoy the day together having a girl’s day!
Lupe is preceded in death by her father Dionicio Sr. She’s survived by her mother Melquaidez Rodriguez, her husband Alfonso Valero, three children Claudio of Tulare, Rafael of Lost Angels and Carolina of Clovis, CA. Two grandchildren, Sophia, and Luca. Lupe leaves behind four brothers Ray, Oscar SR., and Dionicio JR., and Richard. Three sisters Eli, Gloria, and Leti. Lupe leaves behind a legacy of Nine nieces and eight nephews, along with 16 great nieces and nephews. She leaves behind a host of extended family members, her mother and father-in-law, and a host of many, many friends.
A memorial service will take place Friday, February 25, 2022, at 11:00am at the Dopkins Chapel, in Dinuba, CA. A Celebration of Life reception will follow at the family’s house located at 13585 Ave. 416 and 136 in Orosi
