Marjorie Ruth Freeman

Marjorie Ruth Vose was born in Robbinston, Maine, on October 25, 1926. She married Harold Freeman on June 29, 1952, after obtaining her teaching credentials in 1946 from Farmington State College. After Harold's death in 1956, she taught in Bangor, ME, and obtained her Master's Degree in Education from the University of Maine in Orono. Paternal relatives found her as they studied genealogy and invited her to come to Dinuba, CA, in 1961. She was offered a position in the Dinuba Public Schools where she taught for several years. She held leadership positions in local and national educational offices. She sowed her love for the Lord as she portrayed it in her daily walk with Him and she found inspiration in God's Word. She was a member of the Dinuba Presbyterian Church where she served in many leadership capacities. Traveling was a favorite enjoyment as she traveled to many states and visited six continents. Friends thank her for all the times she encouraged them, prayed for them and had a listening ear when they needed to talk. She leaves two sisters, Helen Brooks and Norma Donovan, and their children in several locations in the United States as well as several Vose relatives. Donations may be made to the Jefferson School Scicon Scholarship for needy children. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 13, 2021, at the Dinuba Presbyterian Church. Due to seating being limited to 100, the church is asking those who wish to attend to call 591-6610 and make a reservation. They thank you for your understanding.

I was in Marge's first 6th grade class, in 1961, after she had moved to Dinuba... She was an awesome teacher, a very strict teacher as well. I learned a lot from Mrs. Freeman.. It wasn't until years later, that I ran into Mrs. Freeman, again.... in 1978.... I was hired by Dinuba Unified as an IA and went to work at Jefferson Elementary. Marge and I became adult friends, she was still going strong. I learned even more from her. I miss you Marge and will continue to miss you. Until we see each other again.
