Robert Owen Beck

Robert “Bob” Owen Beck, 78, of Reedley, CA passed away on December 3rd, 2022, after battling health issues for the past few years.

Robert was born in Oklahoma on July 23rd, 1944. He graduated from Dinuba High School and continued to receive an AA degree from Kings River Community College.

Robert was married to Beverly Jean Dukes on June 30th, 1962; they were married for 60 years.

Robert worked 30+ years in law enforcement where he served as a Patrolman, Police Sergeant, Detective, Welfare Fraud, and DA Investigator. He enjoyed the outdoors, including hunting and riding his bike. He was also actively involved in local government where he served the City of Reedley as Mayor, Mayor Pro-Tem and City Council Member for 11 years. He was honored to be Reedley’s Centennial Mayor in 2013.

Robert is survived by his wife Beverly, his children, son Robert Beck and daughter Tambra Nelson, his sister Doris Runyan, 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and many family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

Robert is preceded in death by his father, Owen G. Beck, his mother Velma V. Beck and 3 sisters Georgia, Mary, and Sue.

A Celebration of Life service will be announced at a later date.
