Santos “Sandy” Carrillo Soto passed away peacefully on March 11, 2022 surrounded by her family a day after her 81st birthday. Sandy was born in Reedley March 10, 1941. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sarah and Apolino Carrillo, siblings; Glenn Carrillo, Margaret Lopez, Frances Cuadros, Isabel Carrillo, John Carrillo, Petra Carrillo, and Raymond Carrillo. She is survived by her youngest brother Danny Carrillo, daughters Julie Diaz and husband Ernie, Vera Paredes. Grandchildren Paul Diaz and wife Jeanette, Stphanie Hernandez, and husband Raymond, Daniel Paredes and wife Shirae and Mikal Andrade. Sandy was blessed with 10 great grandchildren that adored her.
Sandy attended St. La Salle School and Reedley High School. She married Paul Soto in 1962 and lost him in a tragic accident in 1966. As a young widow she went on to raise her two young daughters devoting her life to their upbringing and wellbeing. Sandy worked as a machine operator and eventually a supervisor at Vendo Manufacturing till her retirement after a lifetime of working.
Sandy had a heart of gold and embraced family and friends with open arms making everyone feel so welcome. Her kids and grandchildren were her life and joy and definitely the focus of all her attention.
Sandy had a strong faith, she love the Lord and believed God had a plan for her and accepted that plan.
As much as her family will miss her we know she is reuniting with her lost family and rejoicing in the presence of the Lord.
